Hi, I recently set up my Raspberry Pi but the only monitor I have is an old TV that only has one resolution that isn't commonly used with computers, therefore things often go off screen. The only way to use it well is to run it from a "Tight VNC" virtual desktop connection to my laptop.
My problem is that I can install and run Minecraft: Pi Edition normally, however when I execute the program, the window is a blank black screen, on the main monitor you can see the main menu, however as I said the fixed resolution makes a majority of the window go offscreen so I can't play.
I was wondering if there is a way I can get it to properly run on a virtual desktop?
Unfortunately there's a bug that makes it impossible to see minecraft via vnc or X desktop forwarding through ssh. Hopefully they will get around to fix it soon (and hopefully it doesn't require a complete re-write)

I would think that unless it's an easy fix, it won't be fixed ever, or at least in the near future. The whole point of this is for students in school learning how to code, and schools won't have to use VNC, etc. to connect to their computers, most likely. Unless a lot of people are having this problem, it most likely won't be fixed. You could try finding someone to change the code to allow it though (it shouldn't be too hard to modify it, it was made to be hacked)
