Got around to build some prototype designs for a couple of locked dungeon doors way designs. They seem to work out ok. All I need to do now is make all 4 directions and come up with some way to implement them into the dungeon generator. I will leave it at that for now.
Today was able to get a start on adding mazes to the dungeon generator. I had to over come some problems with the maze generating process because I just couldn't simply just spawn a maze and expect it to work as desired for the dungeon. I had to make the maze design both fit and have a an exit and a starting point for the dungeon. Here is my prototype maze I generated for the dungeon. I added some gold blocks for a visual to see the separation from main dungeon walls and the maze design. Now the next thing to do is to add all the other maze designs I had made to the dungeon. My next plan is to add some kind of water and lava type dungeons.
Building mazes is fun. I got another dungeon maze build down and figure out lots of ideas dealing with maze building. Some of the ideas comes by accident other times I do it intentionally seeing what kind of crazy stuff I can do. This latest maze I made is awesome for the fact it going to contain some kind of treasure vault hidden in the center of the maze. I also figure out how to make a Multi path maze, now I didn't take a screen shot of that because its still in the prototyping phase but its going to have lots of rooms it will lead to. Another thing I did is that I figure out how to do is to stream line the maze building process where I can have multiple dungeon maze builds inside the a master maze building function, took a little work but this reduces the amount of coding big time which will help the random build process . My next goal is to add a water mazes and a maze with in a maze to the dungeon maze builds and once I'm finished with that I'm going to figure out how to make that awesome huge maze where the maze paths have been eroded into by the maze generation process but the problem with that maze build process is once you unleash that bot its no telling what that bot will do, It could destroy the whole dungeon if done wrong. Now I ran across a weird problem with the maze generation I made a thread about it here https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft-java-edition/redstone-discussion-and/commands-command-blocks-and/2896080-automated-dungeon-maze-generator-problem but I not going to let no problem stop my maze building. So with that being said here is a sneak peak at the next maze Im working on.
This is VERY impressive for the bot, that was written only by minecraft commands!
Thanks for the praise. I plan to do more builds with the bot in the future. I couldn't have done it as quick as I did with out all those YouTubers out there that have videos teaching how command blocks and functions work. I enjoy game that are like minecraft having the ability to create and build, it's one of my strengths, I have a good amount of experience mapping, I've mapped in alot of games, however, minecraft takes the cake because its so huge. I use to play the minecraft demo back in 2011 and 2012 all the time after learning the clock restart trick to keep the demo game going but it was only last year that I actually deiced to buy the game after watching some of those minecraft YouTube videos that are making huge crazy builds with command blocks. That is when I became super interested in the game and was exposed to a side I had no idea existed in minecraft, I always thought the game was just like the demo for the longest time.
Lately I've been figuring out how to improve upon my maze building techniques. I figure out some cool techniques to make mazes more complex then the standard design the bot cranks out also I'm working on how to make the maze paths ways be eroded into by the maze generation process so there is more to the maze then just a maze.
Got another maze dungeon to show off. This time its one of my double layered mazes which is essentially its a maze with in a maze. I don't really know what to do with this maze at the moment, I just been trying to figure out the intricacies to this maze seeing how I can implement into the dungeon successfully.
Hello everyone, I got some sad news . My Laptop Computer Died (3-31-18) Literally the next day after my last post. As of now, I have no way in getting into my minecraft account, I think Mojang Deleted my Minecraft Account due to inactivity longer then 6 months. However; I'm still in the game even though I cant play Minecraft. I still got all my stuff that I had developed to build all my mazes and dungeons and Voxel spheres. Just to let you know that isn't going to stop me from building things for Minecraft. Right now I plan on trying to improve my commands working for the latest Update even though I have no way in Testing anything...
