I'm trying to create an 'alarm' system with notes.
I'm trying to create a pulse/loop, that will play notes over and over, WHEN it recives power from a source.
Then when that source is off, the loop terminates.
I don't even know what this would be called.... :S
This would be the way I would do it:
Create a clock that constantly sends a pulse of power to an AND gate. Then when the source is powered, that will go to the other side of the and gate. The output of the and gate would head to your note area where the noteblocks are being played. Sound should play whilst the clock is pulsing and also whilst your source is on. Turn the source off and the AND gate will only be getting pulses of power from one input, so it should stop the noteblocks from playing.
Haha, I do the same thing :tongue.gif: Only time I'm ever able to be helpful is when I'm posting on the forums. When I try and do things in practice myself, I always over-complicate too.
Anyway, glad I could help :smile.gif: Only other thing I would mention is that if you use repeaters for the clock, you'll probably have to reset it every time you log back in, or so I've heard. You'd probably know that already though.
Or you could invert the signal and connect it directly to the clock. When a clock recieves power it stops ticking. I think it would fix the problem of mixed repeater clocks too. (It won't work with full repeater clocks.)
