I am building a medieval realm and I would like some suggestions for what sort of buildings or information I should have at my spawn point? The player will spawn into an old Inn with some story line but need to know what else should be in the town surrounding the Inn. I’m fairly new to minecraft and playing on Xbox multi platform Thanks
Maybe have the spawn located in a smaller town. The inn is fine, but if youre leading the player trough a story line it would be better to not spawn in the largest city of the game that has everything to offer (such as shops and rewards).
Generally speaking it isnt good to give the players everything, or the possibility to acquire everything from one spot (an example would be the ability to farm massive amounts of cocoa beans, sell them for $$ and then go to a massive shop that sells all items in the game for $$
Maybe a small sleepy mining town in a forest with a few houses, a general shop, a few small land plots for people to make their own houses on?, a mine entrance.
Depending on the amount of freedom you allow, players can get rewarded for various things like gathering wood, mining ore, collecting trophies from mobs, crafting weapons and selling them to the npc.
Let them grind, but have various options and different ways to do things. Also scale the reward with difficulty. Waiting for night time and hunting mobs that can kill you should give you more reward than chopping trees 24/7
I don't like giving too much info about the seeds i share. I feel like its better to let others explore and find out the chest contents, dungeon places and biomes. If someone is giving me a gift i would rather not know what it is until i open it for my self.
