seems your computer cant handle running the server, its running pretty far behind, the server will safety shutdown if it falls too far behind

Maybe, however the problem occurred between 23:53:44 - 23:54:51 but not before. Until the player died at 23:54:51 there were no visible issues with how the game was running. I'm on a macbook pro running MC on lower graphics settings and a decent internet connection, so I really feel like there's something else at play here.

there's only one mob, silent, with no AI. The idea is that when the player enters a room they will see a "person" (witch mob) facing away from the player. If the player get's within a certain distance, the mob's head slowly rotates around exorcist style to face the player but the body is still facing away. I tried the armor stand and head idea but it just doesn't look right. Basically, if there isn't a way to turn the mob's head independently from the body, then I'd rather scrap the idea. Like I said, I didn't think that was possible but I wanted to double check with the community. Not a terribly disappointing outcome. I'll just scrap that idea and replace it with some other scary scene. Thanks though.

Had to recreate the problem, but here's the latest game log. I understand a fair amount of what I read in the log but not enough to know what the problem was.

Sorry to sound like a noob but how do I access the game logs. All the crash report said was that the game crashed unexpectedly, but no other info. I've also noticed that after respawn, the fps takes a nose dive from 60 to 25 fps and takes a significant amount of time to "wake up" and get back to 60 fps.

posted a message on Minecraft crashes on player death

Hello all. I'm having an issue in the horror map I'm creating where when the player dies, the game goes to the respawn screen and freezes leaving me with no choice but to force quit minecraft. My map has a lot...A LOT of command blocks but nothing that triggers on a player death, so I'm at a loss. Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this?

EDIT: This is only happening at one of the two current spots where a player can be killed. After the game is closed and restarted, the player can finally respawn, but for no logical reason whatsoever, some of my commands that aren't triggered anywhere near where the player died activate. There is literally no way for the player to trigger those commands from where they died. Is minecraft just screwy and overly buggy for no apparent reason or is there a logical reason why this is happening?

Correct. Unfortunately for the story of my map, an dolled up armor stand won't cut it. I didn't think it was possible but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Thank all!

Okay, hear me out. I'm trying a bit of an exorcist style scene in my horror map where a mob (facing away from the player) will slowly turn their head all the way around to face the player but without moving the body too. Is this even possible?

posted a message on Run command when player puts named item in ender chest 1.13.2

I'm trying to set something up where when the player puts a certain number of named prismarine shards into an ender chest, a command block will execute a command to clear the shards and replace it with another item.

Here's what I've tried and it worked for a normal chest, but not the ender_chest:

    execute at @p if block -126 71 321 minecraft:ender_chest{Items:[{id:"minecraft:diamond"}]} run say something

posted a message on Timer Command Block (Good for adventure map makers)

My suggestion may have been made before but I didn't see one so here goes. I would love to see a chain timer command block. Basically, it would act identical to the chain command block, however, the chain timer block would have options to set an amount of time [in ticks or seconds] to delay before triggering the next command. This would save map makers a lot time, space, and headaches from having to use repeaters/comparators.

    - Choose between ticks/sec

    - Set the amount of time you want

    - Give it your command

If set to 120 seconds, it would wait that long before running its command and then triggering the next chain command block in the sequence. This would make me so very happy.

Thank you. I haven't checked this in a while and I was just thinking about this again. This sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. For clarity on the rotation, can you give me a random example of the syntax?

posted a message on Some audio files cut off shortly after called by command block

I'm creating my first map and I have some events that trigger multiple sound files at the same time. Sometimes all of them will play without issues but most of the time one or more sound files cuts off before it finishes. It feels really empty and kills the immersion when the sounds cut out too soon. Is there a way to fix this?

Hey guys, I'm making a map and I'm trying to make an event where the player will look through a window and when the player looks past a certain point a mob spawns behind them. I'm fine with the summon part but checking for if a player is looking in a certain directional range is stumping me. I've tried looking online but haven't found the answer for 1.13 commands. Can anyone help me with this?
