Hi Hey0, sorry to repost this, but I don't think you saw it? Let me know

Is it correct that the "Took too long to log in" error is when the server is trying to verify the name with minecraft.net, but takes too long and kicks off the user?

In my server logs I often see "took too long to log in" followed by "THE REPLY IS YES." I think this means that it eventually got a response from minecraft.net but already kicked off the user. Sooo.. would it be possible to modify the timeout value here with a mod? Is this a server side setting? Allow more time for the response from minecraft.net before disconnecting the user.

For example, the first time the reply came too late, the second time it came in and he successfully logged in.

Could I ask about your visitors / online player lists? I would love to be able to have functionality like that with time played, etc. Is it a public tool or anything you can share? Thanks

Edit** ah, I found it, http://github.com/dcramer/minecraft-tools, thanks!

Though any chance you could post some of your php/web backend (like how you get the http://mc.nibbits.com/forums/plugin/page/visitors page up)? I'm really bad at that kinda stuff.

Hello. I was wondering what the status was on getting either a /changegroup command or an /addplayertowhitelist command in game (beta mod version). Either one of these would be extremely useful for me! I run a server and would like to let my appointed admins add people to a trusted list without me editing text files on the server.

    Thanks

Has anyone else been crashing when using teleportation? On my server now I crash almost half the time when I try to teleport to different players. I don't think its the mods fault or anything, but a week or two ago I didn't have this problem. It may just be server related, like how players started crashing when being around our spawn area unless they turned down the view distance.

Yeah I know I can set the default group to not be able to build, but I can't change what group people are in without editing the text file right? I need some way to do it in game so that my server moderators can do it and I don't have to manually change the file on the server.

    Thanks for the warp fix!

Last thing I really want is to either be able to allow admins to add to the player whitelist in game, or, I could set the default group to not be able to build (prefer this method) and allow admins to use /changegroup to promote approved players up to the next group. Now it appears we can not change groups in game at all?

With the latest version, warps seem to work, but the points are not remembered correctly.

I can /setwarp town and then /warp town and it works fine. However if I do a /reload then the warp no longer works.

This is the large map MCglade is referring to (except it has gotten larger now.)

Notch tends to disappear on the weekends, so I think we are stuck with this server version for a while. Hey0, I would be very grateful if you could update the mod!

Hello, just wanted to put in another request to make the whitelist update-able in game!

    Thanks for the mod!

Lower your render distance (in options or hit F) to anything but Far.

Everything was fine on my SMP server at first. As more things were built around the spawn point, many people kept getting back screen crashes. Lowering render distance has fixed it for everyone.

I have just a couple of suggestions to an otherwise fantastic mod:

    (1) A 'give' command to spawn blocks at a player, as in "/give <player> [id] {amount}".
    (2) The ability for the admin commands, like /reload and give (if implemented) to be entered from the server console in GUI mode.

These two alterations are, imho, something that would be very valuable for many servers.

    oTHi

    You can already do #1
    /item <id> <amount> <player>
